ChicagoPop is for the Chicagoan who loves pop music, and is willing to expand their palette. In ChicagoPop, you can read some articles about super famous artists, but it’s mostly going to be about the underdogs who have strong bases. You can read album/EP/song reviews from the writing team, you can see which Chicago venues and festivals they’ll be playing at so you can rock out with them.

ChicagoPop was heavily inspired by Rolling Stone and other rock and rock-adjacent magazines. My idea was to take my favorite pop musicians and portray them as the rockstars I see them as to pay tribute to them in a magazine for people in Chicago who need more pop music. It has a focus on up-and-coming stars. This is what separates ChicagoPop from other music magazines, it has a refined palette for the dedicated musicians who play smaller venues, have less commercial success, but have the most fun.
